The Road

I have traveled this road before,
I went door to door talking to people,
I worked in a campaign office,
I have handed out literature, and raised campaign funds,
I've worked at the crack of dawn, and till the midnight hour, like I said I've traveled this road before,
But the last time I traveled this road it was an effort for someone else.
On Friday April 2nd I went around the city and placed lawn signs throughout various supporters yards, and at that moment I realized that the road that I went down for President Obama and Former Governor Corzine I was now going down for myself.
It brought me to tears because here I am, waiting for my turn to serve my hometown, waiting for my chance to bring about some of the change that our city needs, and ready to continue to down this road once again for the city I love so much..........LONG BRANCH.

"Stand Behind Mike Bland"

On Thursday March 11th I held a meet and greet mixer.
As the night came to an end my sister Lauren stated, "Lets take a picture standing behind Mike to show that we are standing behind him."
That touched me.
Because truthfully my task is to stand behind all of you.
To show support to you.
To sit and listen to your ideas for a better city.
There is a road that has to be traveled in order to be your representative.
I can't travel this road alone.
I need your help.
I need you to come to the polls on May 11th.
But before May 11th in these days that are ahead of us I need you to help volunteer, donate, and simply spread the word for this Generation of Change.
I love my town and only want whats best for every single resident in Long Branch.
Remember my office is located on 210 Broadway Ave, Suite 4.
Come on up!!!!!!

On Saturday March 6th my team and I walked the streets of Long Branch and did some garbage pick-up. It was a great feeling to breathe in the beautiful 60 degree air that day. While on Broadway, Rockwell, Brighton, and Liberty I found out that people really care about their town and what direction it takes. Throughtout the day we encouraged many to vote, and for those that didn't we helped with the registration process. So for those that we did not reach that day Sunday March 21st we will be holding a voter registration brunch from 10-3 at our office. Please stop bye to have some brunch with us.

"A Generation of Change"

"A Generation of Change".................What does it mean?

It means that I stand here ready.

Ready to make a difference.

Ready to listen to what your concerns are, and not just your concerns, but also what makes you proud of this city.

Change means youth, a young man who will be excited to listen, plan, and execute on the issues of Long Branch.

Change means transparency and accessibility, letting you know what goes on, and being accessible enough to wipe your tears, and laugh with you.

Change is reviving all of Long Branch, making everyone excited about their town and its future.

Change is not about me, its about us. Its about our future and our childrens future.

Cooperative, Honor, Accountability,Neutrality, Generosity, Enthusiasm(CHANGE)

What is change? Change is what happens when we grow. And I am ready to continue to grow with YOU Long Branch.

Lets Go!!!!!!
